My Business
For many years, I've been creating beautiful custom designs for couples getting married, families celebrating their newborn child, capturing the romance of an engagement, and painting canvases for clients ranging in subject matter from realistic to abstract.

I've known I wanted to be an artist since I was only a few years old.  My first interests were in drawing and painting.  My mom often let me use her 35mm camera once I was old enough to respect and understand photography equipment.  I love the color periwinkle and my favorite artists are Lucian Freud, Salvador Dali, Gustav Klimt.  Artists who inspire me every day are David Prochaska, David Scott Settino, and Justin Johnson.

Little Heather Painting Away
_Starting in Junior High, I began taking courses in drawing, painting, ceramics, and fashion design.  Earning my Associates degree at Cuesta Community College in San Luis Obispo, my love of photography was born.  Taking Black and White developing brought out my creative side of composition as previously used in my drawings.  Among the fine arts, I also explored fashion design, life drawing and painting, hand building ceramics, and oil painting courses.

Earning my Bachelor's in Art and Design at California Polytechnic State University in 2005 with magna cum laude honors, I expanded my studies with jewelry design, artificial lighting courses in photography, glass blowing, glass fusing, ceramics, graphic design, drawing, life drawing, and many painting courses.  Majoring in Art and Design with a concentration in Studio Art, I have dedicated my love for art to photography, drawing, and painting.  My work has been in the Senior Capstone Project, the annual Push Pin open classroom show, Senior show at 2 Dogs Cafe, Morro Bay Art Association's art show, three art shows at my gallery in San Luis Obispo in 2011, and a silent auction art show in 2012.

In September of 2011 I moved my gallery and art studio to my home in Atascadero where I have room to frolic and paint with my little boy nearby.  I must have taken thousands of photos on my journey to being a mommy and of his cute little face.  My loving husband and beautiful son give my art purpose.
