Got to see Sherlock Holmes 2 tonight. The graphics on the pen and ink drawings were outstanding. Ever since I saw the Salvador Dali exhibit at his museum in Florida I have been eager to try some pen and ink again. Dali's work is so small and detailed that I swore it was photocopied and scaled down. Apparently all of the work on the walls was original. You've got to see it in person! So amazing. In Sherlock, the graphics were in the style that you'd see on currency with the cross hatching across faces. The use of ink blots and negative space was so seamlessly worked into the movie that it was like reading a movie living illustrated book. A must see for artists and Robert Downy Jr Fans!!
